Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver?

We offer local delivery in Herts & Essex for cakes, decorative cookies and cupcakes. We also have a range of postal bakes (coming soon) available nationwide which are shipped via Royal Mail special delivery service. For selected dates we can also offer delivery to areas of Surrey, please enquire for more details. All deliveries are subject to a delivery charge, dependant on size and distance.

Can I collect my order?

Yes! Collection is available for all orders from Manuden, Bishop's Stortford. Please let us know when placing your order if you would like to collect and we can arrange a day and time window with you.

When should I place my order?

We accept orders up to 3 months in advance and recommend booking in as early as you can. If you have a big event or wedding you would like to book in prior to 3 months then please drop us an email to book. If you require a last minute order please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you.

How do you design the cakes?

For all our cake orders we will talk to you about what colours, style, flavours and decoration you would like. We will then provide you with a sketch to give you a rough idea of what your cake could look like.

When do I pay for my cake?

A 50% deposit is required to confirm bookings and remaining 50% is payable before collection/delivery.

What is the best way to serve my cake?

We recommend serving our cakes at room temperature as this allows the buttercream to soften and give you the best textures. Our cakes are made to party/wedding size and our yield indicates the approximate number of slices.

Can I store my cake?

If serving the day after collection then please store your cake in the fridge overnight and remove a couple hours before serving. Cakes should keep in the fridge for 5 days, if already cut then we recommend covering the cut part of the cake in clingfilm to keep the moisture in. Leftovers can also be frozen for up to 6 months. If it is a particularly hot day then please use your own discretion and do not keep your cake in direct sunlight or heat.

Where can I find your allergen information?

Our allergy information can be found on our 'Cakes' page at the bottom. We strongly advise customers with allergies to carefully read our allergy information and allergen sheet before ordering. We are sorry but we cannot provide products for those with serious or life-threatening allergies as all items may contain traces.
